Escape from Tarkov (EFT) is a multiplayer tactical first-person shooter video game in development by Battlestate Games for Windows. The latest update, patch 0.13, brings with it the start of the new wipe, as well as the much-anticipated Streets of Tarkov map. This map is one of the most built-up areas in the game, with large buildings and few open spaces.
Players can now enhance their gear by using a repair kit. Depending on their skill level, players can get some pretty good upgrades to weapons, armour and plate carriers when they use a repair kit on them, with weapons getting potential accuracy buffs.
In addition to the new map, patch 0.13 also adds a variety of new content, including under-barrel grenade launchers for all AK and AR-15 rifles, and the addition of the SR-2M “Veresk” 9×21 submachine gun, Steyr AUG A1 and A3 5.56×45 assault rifles, and a couple of pistols, including the Glock 19X.
The patch notes also reveal that this is only the first part of the Streets of Tarkov map and that players can expect more from the map in future EFT updates. The Battlestate Games team also announced that they have made numerous improvements to custom games, hideout additions, and bug fixes.
Escape From Tarkov is a fast-paced and intense game, and players will need to stay on their toes and be prepared for anything. With the new updates and content, the game is getting even more refined and challenging. With each new patch, players can look forward to even more exciting content and updates from Battlestate Games.
