Stars End released last week on the 18th of January 2023, as it gets featured and does the rounds on steams store page, a lot of new players may be curious about what the game has to offer.
What is Stars End?
Stars End is a multiplayer sci-fi survival game set hundreds of years in the future, in a star system colonized by humans escaping their dying home world. Developed by Reverie World Studios and released in Early Access, Stars End is a creative mix involving several genres including MMORPG, RPG, and survival.
In the game, your character needs to eat, sleep, breathe oxygen, drink, remain at safe levels of radiation and heat, all while merely trying to survive. Furthermore the game features an immersive open world, with beautiful scenes, interactive environments, and the ability to craft and use makeshift items.
Stars End Features:
- Procedural Planets
- Online Multiplayer
- Story-based Missions
- Exploration
- Survival/PvP
- Territory Control
- Faction Wars
- Mining, Crafting and Resources
- Planet Base and Space Station Construction
- Fast-paced FPS/TPS combat
The game also features an expansive backstory, with the game beginning eight years ago when a meteorite made impact on the western region of Calpheon. There are multiple endings based on the choices you make in the game, which are ranked on a star system.
The user controls in Stars End are relatively straightforward, with the standard keyboard movements and a user interface that is simple but a bit clunky. Moreover, for new players, there is an extensive tutorial system, which is a relief considering similar games leave this feature out.
Stars End has the potential to be an immersive and engaging experience, and the developers have already made significant strides in improving the game since its Early Access release. Keep in mind that this game is still in its early stages, so the real make or break for this game will be the continued developer updates.
